The world is driven by trust. Trust that a product will do what it says it will. Trust in our family members. Trust in the Lord. You even must trust yourself.
Yet there are many things that break that trust, if even in small ways.
When I order a package and the delivery date says Friday, I expect it Friday. When it arrives a week late, or never, my trust in the company fails.
It doesn’t matter who you are, someone or something is trusting in you.
On a homestead, your animals trust you to feed them. Your garden trusts you to water it. And in return for that trust, you receive the fruits of the labor and eggs.
When it comes to people, trust takes time. That’s why it’s so important to build relationships now. To connect with those around you. Don’t wait until the last minute or beyond and ask of your neighbors. Become their friends now.
Most importantly, build a strong relationship with Heavenly Father. In the end, He is one that you should rely on always. And the only one who can save you.
When you start at the top and place your trust in Jesus Christ, the rest comes easier. You learn to trust your spouse, and they trust you. Your kids trust in your words and your house runs smooth. And on it goes.
Trust takes time. So, start today building trust with everything and everyone around you.
The best way to prepare for and trust in the future is to trust in today. Don’t dwell on the bad but put your trust in those who matter most.
