Running a homestead is a big commitment.

Yes, you might not get to eat out all the time. But you could have the same fun cooking a cast iron steak, relaxing by a cozy fire in the middle of winter, or walking through the garden on a warm summer evening.
There will always be sacrifices in everything. With homesteading, you are sacrificing an easy life for a more secure life. For food on a store shelf to food grow with demanding work all summer long.
In the end, what do you want? Is that dream worth the chores to get to the joy?
If the dream is strong enough to hold on to, then find ways to make the horrible become joyful. Even if you don’t spend every day smelling like roses. Always remember that Instagram life is not life.
